YouTube works on an 'online' gaming service for mobiles and PCs, according to WSJ

MADRID (Portaltic/EP).– Google is preparing a function that will allow YouTube users to play video games on the streaming content platform, either from a computer or from a cell phone.

The company would have invited its employees to test a new product that receives the name of ‘Playables’ – which would translate as ‘Playable’ – reported The Wall Street Journal.

According to the internal email to which this newspaper had access, this new product would allow access to video games both on mobile devices -iOS and Android-, as well as on a computer’s web browser.

For the moment, these employees would have been able to test video games such as Stack Bounce, an arcade in which “players try to break layers of bricks with a ball,” according to the capture accessed by The Wall Street Journal.

It should be remembered that this new feature would maintain similarities with the one already existing on Netflix, since the streaming audiovisual content platform introduced mobile video games in 2021, both on Android and iOS.
