On the morning of this Saturday, April 22, the government SecretaryAdán Augusto López met with various politicians from Yucatan in an alleged negotiation for an alliance.

The appointment was at the San Juan Opichén hacienda, to the west of Mérida, where well-known politicians from the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI) met.

It is presumed that this meeting is due to a search for an alliance between Brunette and the PRI heading to the 2024 elections.

As is well known, Augusto López is considered one of the so-called ‘corcholatas’ to the Presidency of the Republic and one of the favorites of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, he arrived together with AMLO in the state of Yucatán to carry out public and private events. .

Wearing a guayabera, the Secretary met with politicians from the PRI bench such as Gasper Quintal Parra, coordinator of the PRI Parliamentary Group in the Local Congress; Angelica Araujo Lara, former mayoress of Mérida; Enrique Castillo Ruz, former PRI local deputy; Giselle Díaz del Castillo, mayor of Conkal for the PRI.

Among the politicians were Morena militants.

In addition to PRI personalities, members of the Morena party could be seen, such as Verónica Farjat, who also belonged to the PRI bench; as well as Raúl Paz and Joaquín Díaz Mena, who are active in Morena, but belong to the PAN bench.

As we already mentioned, it is presumed that this meeting between the Secretary of the Interior and the politicians of Yucatán could be the preamble to an alliance towards 2024 between the PRI and Morena.
