Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has pledged to continue defending the embattled city of Bakhmut. “It is impossible for us to give up Bakhmut,” Zelenskyy said in an interview with al-Arabiya news channel published yesterday. “That would widen the front line and give Russian forces and the Wagner Group the opportunity to take more of our country.”

According to the governor, the Russian Black Sea Fleet fended off a drone attack on the Crimean port city of Sevastopol this morning. “According to the latest information, one surface drone was destroyed… the second one exploded by itself,” Moscow-installed governor Mikhail Razvozhayev wrote on his Telegram channel. “Now the city is quiet.” No damage was reported.
