The king wants his disreputable brother out of his 30-room villa. However, Prince Andrew refuses to move out. How long will this be good?

King Charles III wants his younger brother, Prince Andrew, to vacate the Royal Lodge in the grounds of Windsor Castle. Heir to the throne Prince William is said to be moving in with his family in the foreseeable future. However, this topic is only communicated via palace employees, which should annoy Andrew very much. This is reported by the British “Daily Mail”.

Andrew, 63, has lived in the 30-room property, which is worth over 34 million euros, for more than 20 years – still today with his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson. Charles now wants his brother to move into the newly renovated Frogmore Cottage, where Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan briefly lived. But the “Daily Mail” writes that Andrew “stubbornly” refuses to comply with his brother’s request. He is said to have left Royal Lodge by September 2023.

According to this, the king has already turned off the money supply to Prince Andrew, so that he no longer receives a subsidy for the property amounting to the equivalent of 285,000 euros. So he could not afford to continue living in the Royal Lodge. Andrew always received the subsidy from his mother, the late Queen.

“He is concerned”

A topic that seems to get to Andrew. He is currently “in a bad mood”, “fragile” and wants an emergency talk with Charles III. lead to change his mind. Andrew fears Charles will “pull out his knives” after his coronation. “He’s worried that the royals might even turn off the power lines to kick him out,” a friend reportedly said. Andrew wanted to resolve the matter face-to-face with his brother and not have to debate it with officials he had dispatched.

Andrew is no longer a Senior Royal as of May 2020. He had sidelined himself through his relationships with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, which is why he had to give up his patronage and honorary military titles under his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, in January 2022.

At the coronation ceremony for King Charles III. and Queen Camilla on Saturday 6 May, Andrew joined the rest of the family at London’s Westminster Abbey. He wore a robe of the Order of the Garter, the most exclusive British order. He was not allowed on the balcony of Buckingham Palace. Public appearances with the Royal Family are rare.
