Disney On Ice presents Frozen and Enchantment show in Miami

MIAMI.- Ice skating lovers will be able to enjoy a unique show led by Disney On Icebecause the characters of Frozen y Charm will come to life at the Watsco Center to transport attendees to an adventure full of music, magic and fun.

Anna, Elsa, Olaf, Kristoff, Sven, Mirabel and the Madrigal family will be accompanied by Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald, Goofy and other iconic Disney characters.

Skater Lilia Osorno Rico, who plays Mirabel’s grandmother, Alma, explained to DIARIO LAS AMRICAS that the show began to be produced between August and September 2023, as a new show was created.

“An amazing ice skating transports families to Arendelle to be part of Anna’s adventure to find Elsa, whose icy powers unleashed an eternal winter. Afterwards, audiences travel to a vibrant town in the mountains of Colombia where they will meet The Madrigal, an extraordinary family who lives in a magical little house in a wonderful and charming place called Encanto, tells the story of their incredible family and their journey to save their home with their sisters,” reads the event review.

Among the main features that distinguish this renewed production are that fans will be able to witness for the first time the beloved characters of Charm, Ta Pepa, who can control the weather with her emotions; her husband Flix; her daughter Dolores, with her gift of hearing; and Bruno, the mysterious and misunderstood member of the Madrigal family whose visions predicted the future.

Latin feeling

For the Mexican artist, who has 18 years of experience in figure skating and is making her debut with the company this season, it is a dream come true to be able to step on stage with Disney. She also asserts that representing Grandma Alma has been gratifying because it allows her to connect with Latin traditions.

“For me especially, for the Latino community, representation is very important. For me it is a dream come true to be part of a production that has the film Charm which is famous, we all love and want. It is something that for me is a dream come true because at the end of the day I am making my job my passion.

In this sense, Osorno points out that when studying his character he thinks about his ancestors and his culture, something that allows him to leave a characteristic contribution in the production that tells the story of this family from South America.

“For me the contribution has been my being Latina. They know that we have the rhythm. I represent the grandmother who was the one who created that world and I think of my grandmothers and that is what I personify: a Latina woman, strong, powerful, firm and loving.”

She highlighted that with Grandma Alma, she and her classmates share the value of passion.

“The passion of doing what you like, you can’t escape from that. It is represented here in the show, we are passionate people who make our dream a job. You can see it with the energy of the audience that sings in the numbers with you “We get so much from them.”

Lilia also points out that the energy of the audience is unique.

“We can see in Frozen how people sing a lot, but the biggest difference is that when Encanto is presented there is dancing, there is rhythm, people start to move. The songs of Frozen are iconic, we know them and they invite you to sing. But with Charming, the songs invite you to dance.”

The last date in Miami is Sunday, April 28, so Lilia Osorno Rico invited Disney fans to attend the presentations. “Ice skating is incredible and there is a place for everyone here. Come see the shows so you can see everything you can accomplish. We close in Miami on Sunday. But there will be more dates and you can see them at disneyonice.com“, culmin.
