Jenni Rivera will have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame

MIAMI.- The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce announced that the singer Jenny Rivera will be honored with a estrella posthumous in the Hollywood walk of famein a ceremony that will take place on June 27.

“The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce is proud to honor the legendary Jenni Rivera with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Jenni’s star represents not only her incredible achievements as an artist, but also her resilience, bravery and unbreakable spirit who continue to inspire fans around the world,” Walk of Fame producer Ana Martinez said in a statement.

The Diva de la Banda star will be number 2,783, in the recording category; and will be located in front of Capitol Records on Vine Street.

The institution confirmed that Gloria Trevi will be the guest to dedicate a few words to the late interpreter. Likewise, Rivera’s children, Jacqie, Johnny, Chiquis, Jenicka and Michael will be in charge of accepting the recognition on her behalf.

The Inolvidable interpreter died on December 9, 2012, when the plane in which she was traveling from Monterrey to Toluca, Mexico, crashed. Rivera was 43 years old.
