10 best-selling pickup trucks in Brazil in April 2023

Fiat Strada remains the leader in sales not only among pickup trucks, but also in the Brazilian automotive market. The Italian compact truck registered 8,051 registrations in April, surpassing, by far, second place, Fiat Toro, which had 3,812.

Strada’s success dates back to the launch of its second generation, which took place in 2020. Since then, the picapinha has been the overall sales leader in Brazil for 17 times, including being the most licensed vehicle for two years in a row: 2021 and 2022.

The Strada can be found in single or double cabin versions, with a 1.4 engine with 88 hp and 12.5 kgf/m of torque or a 1.3 engine with 107 hp and 13.7 kgf/m. CVT-type automatic transmission is only available in the most expensive variants: Volcano and Ranch.

Soon, Strada should gain versions with the 1.0 turbo engine of 130hp and 20.4 kgf/m of torque, the same one that equips the Fiat Pulse and Fiat Fastback.

Montana loses steam and RAM 3500 leads among the big ones

With the proposal to fight with models like Toro, Strada and Oroch, Chevrolet Montana lost some of the breath presented in the first full month of sales. In April, GM’s intermediate pickup registered 3,087 registrations, even less than models like the VW Saveiro and the average Toyota Hilux. In March, there were 3,988.

Among the premium and large models, the so-called full size, without surprises. The RAM 3500 continues with an amazing performance and recorded 550 sales in the period. If we add the RAM Classic, RAM 2500 and the 1500, the brand of the Stellantis group had 842 pickup trucks sold.
