Horror movie fans can already celebrate, because in February Diamond Films releases in theaters 13 exorcisms, a feature film that tells a story of possession, exorcism and supernatural cases. Directed by Jacobo Martínez, the Spanish film is based on real and documented exorcisms that took place in the country, and will feature the same creative team as The 3rd Floor – Terror on Malasaña Streetfrom 2020.

The focus of the plot is Laura Villegas, a haunted young woman with terrifying visions, dark presences, supernatural voices and painful marks that appear on her body for no apparent reason. Concerned about the young woman’s behavior, Laura’s family decides to call in a Vatican-sanctioned exorcist priest to help with the case.

For this, the priest decides to perform several exorcisms on the girl, but each one becomes more terrifying than the last.

Starring María Romanillos and José Sacristán, the work also features Cristina Castaño, Urko Olazabal, Ruth Díaz, Silma López, Alicia Falcó, among others.

What to expect from 13 Exorcisms?

Blending the sacred with the profane, 13 exorcisms will bring a scary story for those who are afraid of the supernatural, and will also deliver many scares to the viewer. The film will also be Martínez’s debut at the helm of feature films, so there is a certain expectation as to whether the director will get the production right.

When does 13 Exorcisms premiere in Brazil?

The feature reached the big screen in Spain in November 2022, and did not like the public very much. Now, Brazilians will be able to give their opinions when 13 exorcisms debut in Thursday, February 23rd.

The film will be released exclusively in theaters, and you can secure your entry by ticket.com.
