After the fire in a Lustenau middle school, the cause of the fire has now been determined.

A fire in the Kirchdorf middle school in Lustenau was reported to the emergency services on Thursday afternoon. The fire brigade moved to the scene of the fire with seven vehicles and 50 people, as did several federal police patrols with a total of 15 people. As a precaution, all students and teaching staff were evacuated. The fire was located in the boys’ toilet on the second floor and quickly extinguished. Nobody got hurt.

The cause of the fire was determined to be arson by a student who lit a towel with a lighter in the toilet. The 13-year-old confesses that the lighter he used was found on him.
