In France, an Algerian won the title of Miss Amazigh France 2023. Indeed, it is Lisa Kheloul who beat several other candidates from North African countries. In particular, Tunisians, Moroccans, Libyans. Or even Mauritanians. In fact, this is the first edition of this beauty contest which was organized in France. However, this competition had positive feedback.
Especially since several candidates rushed to participate in the competition, as soon as it was launched. In this sense, it should be noted that this competition saw the participation of 20 candidates. It should also be noted that this competition took place on February 4, 2023. And this, at the level of the George-Brassens center in Vigneux-sur-Seine, in the Paris suburbs. Knowing that the Amazigh association, Azul Fellawen was at the origin of this idea.
Moreover, the organizers of this event have indicated that Miss Amazigh France is not just a beauty contest. According to them, it is a way to enhance and promote Berber culture.
Algerian Lisa Kheloul wins the title
Regarding the Algerian Lisa Kheloul who won the crown of Miss Amazigh France 2023, it should be noted that the young Kabyle woman is 27 years old. The latter is from the village of Ath-Aissi in the commune of Yakouren. According to the contest organizers, several criteria were taken into consideration to select the winner.
We can cite in particular the criterion of natural beauty and that relating to the intellectual level of each candidate. Without forgetting the good command of the Kabyle language which corresponds to the most important criterion. Knowing that the age limit was not taken into consideration for this first edition.
