20 alleged members of the Aragua Train arrested in Colombia

BOGOTA- The Police of Colombia arrested this Thursday in Bogotá 20 alleged members of Train from Araguaa Venezuelan criminal organization that operated in several countries on the South American continent.

The mayor of Bogotá, Carlos Fernando Galán, reported the arrest through his social networks and reported that the detainees have to answer for the crimes of extortion, drug trafficking, forced displacement, conspiracy to commit a crime and illicit possession of weapons.

The arrest took place this morning in the towns of Kennedy, Bosa and Ciudad Bolívar, in the capital. Among those arrested were several leaders of this criminal organization, alias “Mouse, Caracas and Old Daniel”, at the head of a network that generated about 500 million pesos per month in profits.

Led by Héctor Rusthenford, alias the “Warrior Boy”, the Aragua Train is a criminal gang that operated in several countries in the region, although it had its bases in the Tocorón prison, located in Aragua, northern Venezuela. Emerged in 2000 as an extortion network, it diversified into hitmen and drug trafficking since 2013.
