Record champions FC Bayern remain leaders in the Bundesliga. The Munich team won 3-0 (1-0) against VfL Bochum on Saturday afternoon and remain ahead regardless of the direct clash between pursuers RB Leipzig and Union Berlin in the evening (6.30 p.m. / Sky). Borussia Dortmund remains three points behind Bayern after beating Werder Bremen 2-0 (0-0).
With TSG 1899 Hoffenheim, the new coach Pellegrino Matarazzo experienced a debut to forget in the 1: 3 (0: 1) against Bayer Leverkusen. Without the suspended coach Christian Streich on the sidelines, SC Freiburg came to a 2-1 (0-1) win against VfB Stuttgart, while FSV Mainz 05 won 3-1 (2-1) against FC Augsburg.
Bayern clearly determined the game in Bochum. Thomas Müller gave Bayern Munich the lead in the 41st minute after a serious error by Bochum’s Saidy Janko and Manuel Riemann. Former Bochum player Leon Goretzka missed Bayern’s second goal just before the break (44′), which was then scored by Kingsley Coman (64′). Serge Gnabry (73rd) was also successful.
Youssoufa Moukoko is injured early on
BVB had to do without Youssoufa Moukoko early on, who was injured when he returned to the starting XI after 29 minutes and was replaced by Sebastién Haller. Jamie Bynoe-Gittens (67′) scored the opening goal, Julian Brandt (85′) decided the game.

In their carnival jerseys, Mainz took the lead early on, seemingly comfortably, through Jae-sung Lee (21st) and Karim Onisiwo (24th). But Ermedin Demirovic (28th) quickly scored the goal with a hand penalty. Again Lee (52nd) restored the two-goal lead after the break. (dpa)
