21-year-old man stabbed to death in New York building

A 21-year-old man was brutally stabbed to death yesterday on the stairs of an apartment building in The Bronx (NYC), after dying in front of a witness who found him.

“She was on her back, holding her abdomen. She had blood on her fingers,” she told Daily News the witness who did not want to be named, about the grisly scene he found in a building on E. 204th St. between Decatur Ave. and Webster Ave., in the Norwood neighborhood.

Police said the 21-year-old man he was stabbed multiple times in the chest and also in the arm, the back of the head and the ribs. He was rushed to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police were searching for the shooter last night in the nearby Bronx River Forest, just north of the Botanical Garden. No arrests have been made or suspects identified. In a similar case, in June Jermaine Jones (33) died in hospital days after he was found with a small stab wound in the hallway of a building in the Bronx.

Also in the middle of last month, an 18-year-old teenager was arrested on suspicion of killing his neighbor Miguel Molina Rodríguez (22) in revenge For A Fist Fight, leaving a two-year-old baby orphaned, also in The Bronx.
