TAG Airlines reported that Julio Gamero, CEO of this company, is leaving his position “to develop some personal and professional projects related to the industry.” Through a statement, the regional airline in Central America and southern Mexico said that after three years of hard work to position TAG Airlines as the main regional airline, Gamero expressed his decision to leave the position of CEO.

In a message on his social networks, Gamero commented that he arrived at TAG Airlines at the end of 2020, in the midst of a pandemic, with the aim of strengthening and professionalizing it. Along with a revitalized team, they achieved sustained growth over the years, which allowed it to become the flag airline of Guatemala and recognition as an airline of the Mundo Maya, he said.

“With the support of the TAG family, the company’s value proposition was renewed, reinforcing air connectivity and the region’s multi-destination offer, with a now more modern fleet,” he highlighted.

According to the statement, Gamero thanked Marcela Toriello for all her support and wished her success, now that it is known that she will be the new CEO of the company, for which she added that the future of the company is in good hands. TAG Airlines recognized and thanked Julio Gamero for his professional quality and experience, “put to make this company the best regional airline in Latin America.”
