The Police announced the arrest of 25 members of the Clan del Golfo armed group, accused of homicides and assassination actions in the city of Cartagena.

«We clarified 25 homicides in Cartagena. With the materialization of 25 arrest warrants, we dismantled the structure of the ‘Clan del Golfo’, reportedly responsible for 40 percent of the hit men’s actions in that capital and extorting money from the commerce sector,” said the director general of the National Police, General William René. Salamanca Ramirez.
According to the general, among those captured are ‘Dario’ and ‘Aldair’, who would be the second and third leaders of the Focused Criminal Component, and ‘Mocho’ Cadena, head of the area.

Likewise, it was learned that among the 25 captured were two policemen “for allegedly facilitating the commission of crimes.”
