A three-year-old girl is fighting for her life after being kicked by a mare on Friday night. The strong blow caused her serious injuries and that is why she continues to be admitted to the Madariaga de Posadas hospital.
Through police sources, this morning paper was able to verify that the uniformed officers of Regional Unit X of Posadas were alerted by a man identified as Ángel S. (29), who stated that he was in charge of the dining room in the Barrio Esperanza (oleros area), where he delivers food.
In this context, he mentioned that a three-year-old girl, known as Sofía S., at one point escaped from her mother’s care and pulled the tail of a mare that was in the place. Faced with this situation, she mentioned that the animal kicked her, causing injuries of various kinds.
For this reason, units of the police unit quickly went to the scene to verify what was reported and clarify what happened.
The three-year-old girl was transferred to the pediatric area of the Madariaga hospital in the provincial capital. She already in the place she was attended by the doctor on duty.
Sofía, due to the injuries suffered, underwent surgery, and this morning she was discharged. However, according to police spokesmen, this outlet was able to learn that the minor re-entered the local hospital a few hours after arriving at her home, as a result of not feeling well.
For this reason, around twelve o’clock she entered the health facility and was examined by the doctor on duty, who diagnosed that the girl had a closed abdominal trauma. In addition to presenting compensated hypovolemic shock and traumatic intestinal perforation. Injuries that caused the minor to remain hospitalized at risk of death.
On the other hand, Kevin S., the father of the victim, told the police officers that he will not make any complaint because he believes that it was an accident. In the same way, prevention actions were initiated.
