Of the total number of participants, 425,576 registered for sports activities and the remaining 29,440 for cultural activities. Among the categories, Juveniles obtained the highest number of registrations with 336,967; They are followed by Older Adults with 89,308 and People with Disabilities with 30,671. For the Buenos Aires Cup, qualifying for the Evita National Games, 28,741 people signed up.

In 2022 there were 350,000 participants, and until this year it had been the highest number in the last ten editions.

“Throughout the more than thirty years of history of the most popular sports and cultural event in the country, more than 20 million people from Buenos Aires have attended, categories and disciplines have been added, becoming a transversal public policy that includes and integrates all the community,” he stressed.

As in every year, the 135 municipalities will be represented in the Youth, People with Disabilities, Transplanted People, Older Adults, and University or Tertiary Students categories. This edition, like the previous ones, is promoted by the Ministry of Development of the Buenos Aires Community, through the Undersecretary of Sports and in coordination with the Cultural Institute.

Regarding the number of entries, the 455,016 that will participate in this edition constitute a new record in the history of this competition.

The numbers of the last years: in 2016 there were 249,855 registered; in 2017, 265,318 participated; in 2018 there were 303,075; in 2019, 345,003 registered; In 2020, due to the pandemic, it was done virtually with 20,000 registered; in 2021, the youth returned to face-to-face and had 105,000 participants; while in 2022, with the full return to face-to-face, it reached 350,000 registrants from the municipal stage, of which 30,000 reached the provincial finals.
