Michigan, United States.- The University of Michigan Police reported that at least five people were injured in several shootings on campus, while the suspect is still on the run.

At a press conference, campus Police Chief Chris Rozman reported that at around 8:15 p.m. local time, they received 911 reports of a shooting, after which officers “responded within minutes.”

Later, similar reports were received from another building on campus.

The injured were taken to the hospital. Some, Rozman said, have life-threatening injuries.

The suspect has not been arrested. Rozman identified him as a short, black man.

The police chief asked the community to remain sheltered.

“Don’t come to campus,” he stressed.

“We are doing our best to keep the campus secure… there are hundreds of agents deployed.”

The Police also indicated that all campus activities will be canceled for 48 hours.
