A car caught fire in the early hours of this Saturday at the traffic light of Calzada Diez de Octubre and Lacret.
“This happened less than an hour ago at the traffic light on Diez De Octubre and Lacret. Apparently only property damage…!! I pity that driver… ”, he reported in the Facebook group“ BUSES & TRUCKS ACCIDENTS for more experience and fewer victims! ”, the user known as Nasser Man.
In the comments to this publication, one of the crew members of the car assured that the car burned almost completely due to a mechanical failure and the delay of the fire brigade.
“I was one of the passengers, the car caught fire, it was just a mechanical failure, thank God, me and the driver, who is my friend, nothing happened and it burned almost completely because the firefighters took an hour to arrive And to top it off, the neighbors had no water,” he said.
These types of events, for which some blame the poor quality of the fuel, are increasingly common on the island.
At the end of April, a car caught fire in front of the “Dr. Jose Luis Mola Garate”located on Avenida Universidad and belonging to the University of Havana and the state company BioCubaFarma.
On that same date, another car caught fire in a spectacular way in the Havana municipality of Centro Habana.
In the middle of April, one person burned to death and two others suffered severe burns after a vehicle caught fire in the city of Camagüey.
