A serious road accident occurred this afternoon on the National Highway 14, at the height of the Federación department (Entre Ríos) and two women, natives of Posadas, were admitted with serious injuries at the Concordia hospital.
According to the Departmental Headquarters of the Federation, a Chevrolet Spin, in which two 50-year-old sisters and their 77-year-old mother were traveling, misled and overturned on the shoulder. It was later set on fire.
The driver – reported the media of that province – spoke with the uniformed officers about the event and explained that at one point she had the feeling that she was going to hit a car that was coming in front of her vehicle, in the same direction of traffic, so that to avoid it he made a sudden maneuver and ended up misleading.
As a consequence of the fact, the three posadeñas were initially transferred to the Federation Hospital and two of them were later urgently referred to the Masvernat de Concordia Hospital due to their serious injuries.
Entre Ríos digital newspapers also reported that according to police sources, as a result of the overturning of the car and the fire generated, there was a grass fire on the shoulder and when it spread it reached a pine plantation in a neighboring field.
Volunteer firefighters put out the fire. In addition, police personnel from the Federation and road safety of Paso Cerrito intervened at the location, as well as, there was intervention by the prosecutor on duty, according to the Elonce portal.
