Pokemon is one of the most profitable franchises of all time and it is not for less, since a large number of fans around the world have grown fond of the popular creatures and their trainers, which is why many of them create amazing tributes within the fandom which have greatly surprised us.

Something that seems quite curious to us is that when we hear the name “Pokémon” we immediately remember Pikachu, Ash Ketchum and his adventures as a coach, together with Misty Y Brockas well as the classic confrontations against the Team Rocket. In fact, fans have adopted some of the Pokémon as our favorites from the first installment of the saga until reaching the most recent ones, such as Pokemon Scarlet and Purple.

We have recently been able to see one of these tributes to the popular franchise, by showing us a fan art that actually manages to recreate the look of one of the Pokemon dearest. In this case it has been the user known as u/ZanorinSeregriswho shared a layout that makes use of the style ukiyo-ein which you can see the emblematic red Gyarados along with some Magikarp, and that show us the change it has compared to its pre-evolution.

The peculiar variocolor Gyarados introduced in the second generation video games is known by the name of red Gyarados. The red Gyarados is of great importance in video games as it is the first shiny Pokémon that players of Pokémon Gold, Pokémon Silver and Pokémon Crystal (and their remakes Pokémon HeartGold and Pokémon SoulSilver) must fight to advance in the video game. .

It is found in the Lake of Fury at level 30. Its appearance is due to the emission of some evil waves by Team Rocket, who seek to force the evolution of all the Magikarp in the lake. In Pokémon HeartGold and Pokémon SoulSilver, if it is weakened by fighting it, it will appear again a week later in the same place and equally shiny. It is the easiest Shiny Pokémon to get, even though it can only be caught this way in the Johto region.

This has earned the love of fans and is one of the most beloved Pokémon, but now we can appreciate it with this Ukiyo-e style. For those who do not fully remember this Pokémon or the most recent video games in the franchise, we will tell you that Magikarp and Gyarados appear in the installments of Pokémon Scarlet and Purple, although it already has other appearances in previous installments, and this fan art tells us shows the love that fans have for Pokémon with an alternate version of Magikarp and Gyarados in their Shiny version.
