A female police officer is among four dead on Long Island

The investigation continues into the tragic accident on Long Island that left four people dead, including an off-duty NYPD officer.

Emilia Rennhack, 30, worked at the 102nd Precinct in Queens. According to police records, she had been serving since 2018.

All of the victims, who were residents of Queens, died Friday when a car crashed into a nail salon in Deer Park, Long Island.

Authorities reported that Steve Schwally, 64, was driving drunk and at high speed when he crashed into the Hawaii Nail & Spa.

Investigators say the SUV went almost completely through the salon, trapping customers and employees inside.

The driver was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. He has been charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. It is unclear if he will face additional charges.

In addition to the deceased, the accident left nine other people injured.
