Some collector cars break price records at auctions. And this may be the case for this extremely rare Ferrari, offered this year by Artcurial.

A 1964 250 LM Berlinetta estimated between 20 and 25 million euros, and finally sold in this low range of the estimate during the sale on February 3. Only 37 copies were produced, which places it among the prancing horse brand’s most popular models, such as the 250 GTO.

In this year of the centenary of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, it is also the last Ferrari model to have won the victory, in 1965, in this legendary race.

A Renault flying saucer

We stay on the Artcurial auction, but with a much more atypical vehicle: a flying saucer concept created by Renault for the opening of Disneyland Paris in 1992. Called “2328 Reinastella”, this model refers to its supposed year of exit, so in 305 years.

Renault had made two copies, one of which will therefore remain in its private collection. This saucer has 5 “small” places, practical if you receive extraterrestrial friends at home, with an estimated price between 2000 and 4000 euros.

We end with the vehicle that wants to be the oldest of the show since it is the “concept-tank”, the flagship vehicle in the latest movie currently in theaters adventures of Asterix, Asterix and Obelix The Middle Kingdom. The concept-tank is used in 50 BC by the two Gauls to reach China in this film by and with Guillaume Canet.

The “concept-tank” was produced in partnership with Citroën, hence the 2CV look, its hydropneumatic cushions for comfort and a low-polluting engine since in the film, it is Obélix who provides traction for these Gallic rafters.
