MEXICO CITY Dec-29-2022.-A 14-year-old teenager who sold candy died in a shooting at a pool hall in downtown Chilpancingo, Guerrero. In this event, a young man was also injured.

According to witnesses, armed men entered the “Billares Club Deportivo Unisex” establishment, located on Avenida Benito Juárez, shortly after the minor, identified as Paola Michelle, did so. At the time of the shooting, she was offering candy to customers.

The minor, they pointed out, lost her life almost instantly.

Citizens asked the emergency numbers for help and upon the arrival of paramedics, they found the young man with vital signs and transferred him to a hospital to receive medical attention.

The pool hall was cordoned off and guarded by state police and military. Meanwhile, experts from the State Attorney General’s Office arrived at the site to collect evidence and integrate the investigation folder. The body of the adolescent was transferred to the Forensic Medical Service, waiting for it to be claimed by relatives.

Although a strong operation was mounted in the area, in which Navy personnel participated, no arrests have yet been reported for this crime.

The Municipal Citizen Security and Protection Secretariat indicated that this place will be closed for allowing the entry of minors.

“By instruction of the Municipal President Norma, Otilia Hernández Martínez, the Municipal Citizen Security and Protection Secretariat, will assist in the pertinent work that will allow the facts to be clarified,” he stated in an information card.
