The Austrian textile trading company received the jury award for sustainability and design for its holistic Cradle-to-Cradle solution. Stefan Grabher, managing partner of Mary Rose, received the award in the “Interior & Lifestyle” category for the cradle-to-cradle solution “C2C Certified® Gold Textile”. For years, Grabher has attached great importance to making production as sustainable and socially fair as possible. “Our aim is to develop holistic solutions that don’t end with recycling,” says the entrepreneur. Stafen Grabher spoke to Thomas Flax on Wednesday at “Vorarlberg LIVE” about the award and where the sustainable path is still heading for Mary Rose.

Award in der Kategorie “Interior & Lifestyle”

The international Green Product Award honors products and services that impress in terms of sustainability, innovation and design. This year more than 1300 participants from 40 countries applied. Stefan Grabher, managing partner of the Dornbirn-based textile company Mary Rose, received the award in the “Interior & Lifestyle” category for the cradle-to-cradle solution “C2C Certified® Gold Textile”.

Holistic solutions that don’t end with recycling

“Our aim is to develop holistic solutions that don’t end with recycling,” says Grabher. This is because good products are often inevitably mixed with bad ones, which extends the life cycle, but ultimately releases pollutants during combustion. This drive gave rise to the world’s first bed linen with Cradle-to-Cradle gold certification.

The broadcast “Vorarlberg LIVE” is a cooperation between VOL.AT, VN.at, Ländle TV and VOL.AT TV and is broadcast from Monday to Friday from 5 p.m. There’s more here.
