Vladimir Putin suffered an attack on his own residence in Moscow, for which the Kremlin accused the Ukrainian government of perpetrating it.

The attack took place through two drones containing explosives that were shot down by Russian forces when they were in the vicinity of the Novo Ogaryovo residence, on the outskirts of the Russian capital.

As reported, Putin emerged unharmed from the attack which they called a “terrorist” action by Zelenski. The Russian leader was apparently not at the scene when the attack was carried out.

Russia linked the date of the assassination attempt to the proximity of Victory Day, which will be celebrated on May 9 with a parade and the presence of foreign guests.

For their part, from Ukraine they denied the fact. Ukrainian presidential adviser Mikhailo Podoliak, a top adviser to Volodmir Zelensky, denied the Russian allegations, saying Ukraine had “nothing to do” with the drones. “Ukraine does not attack the Kremlin because, to begin with, that does not solve any military problem,” he declared.
