But the real novelty of 2023 will be the launch of the first foldable Pixel, which is expected to arrive, according to leaked rumors, at a price of $1,799, which would put it in direct competition with Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold series. Also in the course of 2023 Google will launch two new phones in its main series: Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro, hitherto known as shiba and huskies. The aforementioned source would have confirmed that there will be no particularly significant changes compared to the Pixel 7 series. The 2024 will see some major Pixel road map changes; first, there is a plan for a Pixel 8a, codenamed “akita” whose fate, however, will be decided on the basis of Pixel 7a sales. Going further, the leaker said that Google is considering abandoning the annual launches of the A-series devices and opt for a biennial launch instead. This would lead to an alignment with what has been seen for Apple’s iPhone SE.
In the’fall of 2024Google will launch the Pixel 9 series: for the first time this series will have, according to the source, three devicesthe. When asked by Android Authority about how much this strategy is probable, the leaker said he was more than sure that it is certain: Google wants to imitate Apple’s strategywhich means it needs a top-tier phone that isn’t as big as the Pixel 7 Pro. And while pricing, names and availability are all still to be decided, the goal of bringing three devices to market is set in stone. .
