Two new characters, Alhaitham and Yaoyao, will join the playable catalogue, along with an expansion of the in-game map and the return of a popular event. Now, players can see for the first time what Alhaitham will look like.
Although Alhaitham has only just been made playable, Genshin Impact fans have already become familiar with the character throughout the history of the Sumeru region. Alhaitham takes a prominent role in the region’s new Archon Quest as a scribe for Sumeru’s Akademiya, helping the Traveler investigate the Sages’ plot.
Alhaitham is introduced as an eccentric intellectual through other characters’ voice lines, who goes his own way and only investigates things that he finds interesting. Now, the new trailer for Alhaitham shows off gameplay of him imbuing his own attacks with Dendro.
The new Genshin Impact “Character Demo” trailer, titled “Alhaitham: Think Before You Act”, shows off Alhaitham’s attacks and elemental abilities. The video centers on a discussion between Tighnari, Cyno, and Kaveh about the scribe’s combat abilities.
Alhaitham’s Elemental Ability marks an enemy, allowing them to teleport in front of them, dealing Dendro damage and infusing their Attacks with Dendro for a short time. His Elemental Burst deals Dendro damage in a large area, and Alhaitham’s Elemental Ability also increases the area of effect damage dealt.
