At the request of the publication, the management of “Socola” admitted the fact that the VIII Acute Section (drug addiction) was closed on September 27 and that this was communicated to the Iasi Public Health Directorate.

“The ward was closed, and the patients were discharged upon request or redistributed to the other departments of the institute, after they were subjected to a preliminary sanitization and after they were provided with disposable equipment. Upon taking over the new wards, based on the existing procedures at the level of the medical unit, the patients were sanitized again”, the representatives of the medical unit said. They also specified the fact that, at the moment, the pavilion remains closed and is subject to an extensive disinsection process.
