The police authorities of the Brazilian state of parana A 26-year-old psychology student was arrested on Wednesday accused of sexually abuse of at least 300 minors, whom he contacted through the social networks or by virtual games, official sources reported.
The arrest was made on the morning of this Wednesday by agents of the Civil Police of Paraná and of the Federal Police in Foz do IguazúBrazilian border city with Paraguayan and Argentina in which the defendant resides.
According to a statement released by the civil policethe detained student is investigated for the crimes of rape of a vulnerable person, virtual rape of a vulnerable person, production, storage and transfer of child pornography and recruitment of minors for the practice of lewd acts.
A search at the student’s residence allowed the apprehension of about 1,700 digital files with child pornographyof which at least 350 were produced by the defendant himself while he was abusing different minors.
According to the civil policethe files prove the abuse of minors and adolescents up to 14 years of age who have not yet been identified.
The police also reported that the defendant used different false profiles on social networks to approach minors, who were also approached as users of virtual games.
“Victims were forced to commit sexual acts alone or with objects while being filmed by cameras on their own phones or computers. Everything was recorded in images in which the face of the abuser even appeared watching”, according to the civil police.
According to the investigators, the psychology student used the knowledge acquired in college to manipulate his victims.
According to the authorities, the defendant offered virtual money used in video games to minors who agreed to take a nude photo.
