Through social networks, Anais Ponce, Víctor’s daughter, recorded a video to ask for help in locating her father and Luis. On Wednesday she published that they found both, but lifeless in Zacatecas.
“I just want to tell you that if we united as citizens, we would be able to change this country where innocent people die every day. I am devastated, but very grateful for the support they gave us.”
He also mentioned that he will continue to “ask for justice from the authorities who, by their omission, made my family go through this again.”
Regarding the case, the General Strategic Security Coordinator, Ricardo Sánchez Berumen, said that personnel from the Jalisco Prosecutor’s Office had permanent communication with the family.
He even said that, on Wednesday, the agency contacted Anais and her lawyer to inform them that the state of Zacatecas was asked to collaborate after the discovery of the bodies.
“We cannot anticipate until we have a genetic confrontation that confirms it with an expert opinion, but communication with the family and with the lawyers is maintained.”
He continued: “Once this collaboration procedure is exhausted and a genetic profile can be obtained by the Zacatecas Prosecutor’s Office, where it seems that the discovery was made, we will be reporting in a timely manner.”
In addition, Sánchez assured that “the integration of this case is progressing very well, and in a very good way, we hope to hear from the Prosecutor soon.”
