“I don’t know where I can locate my daughter”said Paula, mother of a student, to the C5N mobile from the door of the Nuevo Horizonte Educational Center, located in Matheu at 1400, in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of San Cristóbal because this Monday its authorities announced the closure.

-450 students attended, some with disabilities
-Almost 100 workers were left on the street
-The owners said that the closure is due to economic problems
-The parents and workers say that the building will be demolished to build a real estate development.
-The school is private but is 60 percent subsidized by the State

The parents are asking the City government to bear all the expenses for one year, until they find vacancies to relocate the children. “I don’t know how I’m going to get home and tell my children that they don’t have school,” one of the mothers concluded through tears.
