A YouTube channel digitizes and shares hundreds of hours of unpublished video game content from 15 years ago

On the Internet there are numerous platforms that offer a wide variety of video game content. However, surprisingly, there is still a lot of unreleased material that has not been seen. Noclip, a YouTube channel, has undertaken the noble task of documenting and sharing this exclusive content that it has acquired.

Noclip claims to have a valuable collection of cassettes, DVDs and VHSs containing thousands of hours of trailers, interviews, behind the scenes and gameplay of more than a decade of video game history. Unfortunately, much of this content is not available on the internet.

We Found & Saved 10 YEARS of Lost Video Game History

The channel features exclusive content such as previously unseen gameplay, deleted interviews (like Hideo Kojima’s on Metal Gear Solid 4), documentaries, and high-quality videos of past events. Noclip is digitizing the acquired content to improve its quality and make it accessible through modern techniquesdue to the low performance of the Internet and the technological limitations of more than 15 years ago.

Noclip has thousands of hours of unpublished video game content.

The deterioration of the cassettes over time has compromised the content of many of them, such as Nintendo’s 1999 E3 presentation that could not be recovered. Given the abundance of content and the complexity of media digitization and restoration, this task will require an extensive period of time.

?NEVER BEFORE SEEN? Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic – E3 2001 Behind Closed Doors Demo

Besides, the channel has also been launched No Clip Game History Archive with unpublished videos, like a presentation of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. Videos are also uploaded in high quality without YouTube compression.

The oldest videos so far date from 1999 and include content from Tarzan and Oddworld: Munch’s Odysee. In addition, there is a video of the year 2000 showcasing the capabilities of the GameCube hardware with demos of Zelda, Metroid, and Prime.
