The A40 near Dortmund was closed for several hours after an accident involving nine cars. A driver had registered a traffic jam too late.
Because a driver saw the end of a traffic jam too late, a serious accident occurred on Sunday afternoon at 4:25 p.m. on the A40: After colliding with another car near the Barop junction (direction Dortmund), another seven cars got into the accident .
Nine people were slightly injured in the collision. Among them was a nine-year-old child. The police estimate the property damage at 85,000 euros. The freeway was closed for about four hours. (red)
