In July of last year, information about an alleged scam against federal force workers, mainly the National Gendarmerie, alerted several uniformed officers. It was then pointed out that several numeraries had debits in their salary account that they had not authorized. The amounts ranged from 700 to 29,000 pesos.
This complaint, of media weight because it was published by national media, pointed to the missionary association called Salvemos al Futuro, which has been in operation since 2009 and was presided over at that time by a member of the Misiones Police, identified by Eduardo Enrique Zarza (48 ).
Formally, the presentation was made by members of the National Gendarmerie in the Cybercrime Directorate of the Misiones Police, who informed Investigating Court Two. The Provincial Force Headquarters also intervened, which quickly made Zarza available and opened an internal administrative summary.
Today, ten months after this investigation, the case did not advance, to the point that Zarza was never charged with any crime, according to his lawyer Rafael Guimaraez in a dialogue with El Territorio. Even Judge Juan Manuel Monte declared himself incompetent because they consider that they were facing a possible cause of money laundering, which did not prosper either. There is no accusation.
With all this, Zarza’s availability was finally lifted and he is ready to return to work, although he points out that they want to send him to the town of Piñalito Norte, something that he does not plan to comply with. He assures that this complaint changed his life for the worse in every way, to the point that he intended to take his own life.
Statement
Zarza agreed to provide details of what happened and defend himself against the accusations. “On July 25 they sent me a message with some photos, photos of me and another colleague, they were harassing me on Facebook and all the social networks. Those photos were published by people from the Gendarmerie, ”he assured.
He expanded that there are even audios of high-ranking officials of the force who scrambled him with information they took from their social networks.
“I have a civil association, which I transformed in a certain way almost like a mutual, to be able to work with the public employee of Posadas. I provided services that today I cannot do because even though everything has been solved and it has been verified that both the association and I had nothing to do with the debit, the damage is done, ”she pointed out.
Let’s Save the Future sold uniforms for police personnel from different forces and the Penitentiary Service, but “we also sold casual clothes for boys, men and women. We did everything with people’s membership fees. It is something that today I no longer have because I had to cancel the debit”.
Regarding the maneuver by which he was supposedly benefited, the police force insisted that it has no implications, while assuring that “my association did not even receive funds from that alleged scam for which they escrach me. We are talking about 300 million pesos.”
“It all started when we ran a campaign, in times of pandemic, to sell a uniform and associate people. First we launched a corporate fee to see if the corporate fee would enter and then it could only be collected, but the problem arose when we hired a company to make the first debits. When we sent the debit, the company changed the amount without consent. He added an extra zero to it, ”he defended himself.
“When we saw that with the lawyer, we wanted the amount to be refunded quickly, but when we did, fifteen days had already passed. At that time, the company together with the bank had put all the money into a money table to earn even more, all for their benefit. That money never entered my account, ”he accused.
“We have many documents that support what I say that they are part of the civil lawsuit that we filed against the companies,” he remarked.
Zarza denied ties “with important people of the Nation”, with whom they wanted to associate him and consulted about the damage caused by what he considers an escrache, he explained: “First economic damage, but also psychological. Today I am receiving treatment because I tried to take my own life because of the whole situation and all the stress that being falsely targeted caused me, because for the people I was guilty of everything.
“At one point I no longer saw a way out, if it weren’t for my family I wouldn’t be here. I got so frustrated that I didn’t know what to do. My family was a great support, I have two girls who are little and they saw me afflicted, they hugged me and in their innocence they told me to be calm and that everything was going to be fine, “he remarked.
He also expressed that he is diabetic and due to stress he lost 40 kilograms.
The official said that the Misiones Police Headquarters was “judge and executioner” and that they never let him defend himself. Until last month he received 50 percent of the salary, with all that that implies, and he also lost the possibility of ascending two hierarchies.
“After they lifted my availability, they told me that by regulation they were going to transfer me to the interior, something that I am not going to do. I am one year and a little more away from retiring, I am sick, I do not have the money today to go to the interior and move, ”she stood up.
