Barcelona.- Nearly 80,000 people celebrated the league titles for Barça’s women’s and men’s teams on the streets of Barcelona today.

The men’s team confirmed their first league title since 2019 on Sunday, while the women had already secured the championship a couple of weeks ago.

The players from both squads toured the streets of the Catalan capital in an open-top bus and greeted the fans who greeted them with chants and waving flags while setting off fireworks and throwing confetti.

The men wore shirts with the phrase: “La Liga is ours and the future too.” The women carried the slogan “We play together, we win together”.

Forward Robert Lewandowski, who scored a brace in Sunday’s win over Espanyol, showed off some dance steps on the bus during the roughly three-hour parade.

“I had never had an experience like this,” admitted defender Ronald Araujo. “And I look forward to many more.”

With four games to go, Barcelona confirmed its 27th league title and its first since Lionel Messi’s departure in 2021. The club also won the Spanish Super Cup this year.

The women’s team won its eighth league title, also with four games to play. He will play the women’s Champions League final against Wolfsburg in June.
