These are the processes and rules at “DSDS”

In this talent competition, one singer per season (once a year) is determined as the winner through auditions.

  • First, candidates are selected through castings and applications. They present themselves to the jury and, depending on their performance, come to the next “recall” or are eliminated. The remaining candidates appear in the subsequent programs, the so-called “live shows”.
  • The jury judges each participant after each performance.
  • Singing and presence are judged.
  • From the live shows onwards, the viewers also decide on the progress, the participants and the eventual winner: by telephone voting, by SMS and via the Internet

Up until the final, the participants with the fewest votes are eliminated. The result of the vote will be announced the same evening.
