Thunderclap for the Rick & Morty series and the game High On Life released last December. The creator, author and actor of these crazy universes, the famous Justin Roiland, is targeted by very serious accusations that call into question many things for the works he was able to create.

Justin Roiland accused of domestic violence

The Squanch Games studio responsible for High on Life as well as the Adult Swim channel and Rick & Morty have officially announced that they are distancing themselves from Justin Roiland, the emblematic creator of these wacky universes that have become essential. The cause ? Serious charges in a domestic violence case.

Squanch Games, the studio founded in 2016 as well as Adult Swim will therefore continue their various projects without Roiland. New voices will soon be found to replace the characters that Justin Roiland dubbed and as explained in the short press release from Adult Swim, the teams are still actively working on season 7 of Rick & Morty.

This is clearly a turning point in the history of the Rick & Morty series and Squanch Games games and it will now be necessary to see how these universes will endure following the serious actions of their creator, Justin Roiland.
