Therefore, the participant withdraws

Lina Adampour (37), known from the NRK series Familien Adampour, leaves Farmen-gården right after the adventure has begun.

– I was very motivated! And I have been every second, and every day, of the short time I was here. But I chose to resign – for reasons of principle, she tells TV 2 shortly after she has made the big choice.

Adampour admits that a big argument she had with Ørnulf Høyer (65) was among the reasons why she left Steinsjøen farm. She was at this time the helper of Høyer, who was a large farmer that week.

During a conversation about the first champion election, Adampour makes a claim that Høyer used the word “pack” when describing how she had worked earlier in the week. The conversation must have taken place in the farmer’s loft.

“Pakkis” is considered a condescending way to describe someone who comes from Pakistan and neighboring areas.

Word for word

The incident the 37-year-old refers to must have happened while the cameras were not present.

In the recent Farmen kendis episode, which is on TV 2 Playone can see that Adampour confronts Høyer about what she describes as poor language.

The accusations trigger a big argument, after which Høyer calls her a bad person, because he thinks she is making up the whole scenario to smear him.

– I chose to tell the truth. I chose to tell about an experience up in the large farmer’s loft. It is one thing to deny it, and not own his own words, that will be up to him. I sleep well at night.

– Just because I stand up for myself and speak out about what has happened and what has been said, does not mean that I am a bad person.

Høyer was very frustrated when Adampour accused him of saying “pakkis”, and stubbornly believes that he did not say this – and also claims that this word has never been in his vocabulary.

The 65-year-old is supported by fellow participant Christopher Mørch Husby (33), who was also in the large farmer’s loft according to Adampour when the exchange is said to have taken place. Husby cannot remember that Høyer used the word “pakkis”.

Since the cameras weren’t there during the altercation, this becomes a classic word-on-word scenario.

Adampour, for his part, is confident in his cause. For her, it was important to take a stand she could be proud of, and not approve of the word “pakkis” being thrown around.

– I think that we humans have to take positions throughout life, based on our values. It is not always easy. But then knowing that you did what was right, and for me being able to look my children in the eyes, that is the most important thing.

Listen to Lina explain why she will not regret her choice in the video below. There you can also see clips of the argument between Høyer and Adampour.

Høyer about the accusation: – I was upset

When TV 2 asks Høyer about what happened the night Adampour chose to resign, he explains that the situation was painful to be in.

– I had a chat about the first champion election with pretty much everyone. Lina was probably one of the last people I had that conversation with, says Høyer.

The 65-year-old says that Adampour’s name had been mentioned several times by the other participants, as a possible candidate for first champion.

– So when she asked if her name had been mentioned, I answered that. It was basically a normal conversation. Right then and there I hadn’t decided who I was going to choose, but I think Lina thought I had decided on her – something I hadn’t, he continues.

The conversation then developed into a loud argument. Høyer says that this was something he never wanted.

– Lina made a claim that I was very upset about, but it’s not a situation I want to comment on too much. Christopher denied that it had been said in his presence. What happens in the episode can speak for itself.

Haven’t talked afterwards

The fact that Adampour chose to retire seems sad to Høyer. He wished they could resolve the situation that night.

– It was a strong situation that ended with her resigning. And I think that is really sad and painful. But I know what I stand for, and have a moral compass that I share with the rest of the family. I know what I say and what I don’t say, so it hurts terribly that it became an issue.

Høyer says that the argument affected him in the week after, and that it got to him. The 65-year-old says that he and Adampour have not talked about the argument afterwards.

– I wish I could talk to Lina before she left the farm, but we haven’t talked about it afterwards.

Although the stay ended badly for Adampour, she said that she left the farm with many good memories. During that short time, she was, among other things, the big farmer’s helper, and learned a lot about farming.

– What I learned and got to participate in, it was absolutely fantastic! I wish that to everyone out there. If only for a few days – getting out into the open and living the way you lived 100 years ago, it was absolutely fantastic.

You can see Farmen kendis on Tuesdays at 21:40, and Wednesdays and Sundays at 20 on TV 2 Direkte, and whenever you want on TV 2 Play.
