Few remember that Kobe Bryant (1978-2020) began his journey in the NBA with adidas. Nike arrived in 2003, with a five-year deal that was worth $40-45 million at the time. But it all started with the mark of the three stripes.

When Kobe Bryant left high school for the NBA, Adidas signed him, as he remembers Viva Básquet portal. It was a promise that would end up selected by the Lakers, and featured his first custom sneaker soon after, the Adidas Crazy 1.

Bryant would end his career with Nike, but Adidas would always take pride in having been the first brand to wear the legendary player.

This year, Adidas pays tribute to the Los Angeles legend with the reissue of the Adidas Crazy 1 Lakers Home, which will be available soon (the official date and other details will be announced soon).

This is how the Adidas Crazy 1 Lakers Home shoes are in honor of Kobe Bryant

The Adidas Crazy 1 Lakers Home presents an Off-White base layer, with massive padding at the ankle. It has a cream coated sole unit and a gray mesh lining at the collar.

In contrast are the interior linings, which they are purple leather, and the back, which is black with gold.

Its tongue is also purple, with the Adidas logo embossed on it.

It cannot have the name or the logo of the deceased player, since he currently has a link with Nike, after the agreement with the widow, Vanessa Bryant. However, it is still a nice tribute to the enormous figure of the Lakers, died on January 26, 2020 in a helicopter crash, which also killed her daughter, Gigi, and other passengers.

As explained Sneaker News, the colorway has been available in Asia for some time, but hadn’t made it to the United States. The date of arrival in North America is unknown, as well as the cost and the place where it will be sold.
