An inspection carried out by the provincial government of Havana in a bakery detected the violation of the norm in the elaboration of the 80 gram regulated bread.

As reported in Facebook the user Communicator Dip, in the control action carried out at the El Mañana Bakery, located on the Carretera Vieja de Guanabacoa, in the municipality of the same name, all the verification weighings that were carried out were out of range, since their weights ranged between 350 and 370 grams, when they should reach 400 grams.

In addition, it was verified that the sanitary hygienic measures were not complied with in the handling of the equipment used in the elaboration of the product.

Specifies the note that was notified to those responsible, by virtue of Decree 30/21, which establishes the sanctions for skipping the prices set by the State, and Resolution 87/22, issued by the Governor of Havana, on the subject of hygiene.

These types of irregularities have been occurring for a long time in Cuban bakeries, but they have worsened with the current crisis.

At the end of April, the Havana authorities detected that the Arango bakery, in Guanabacoa, he sold the loaves with a weight less than half of what was regulated.

According to Carlos Valdés Pérez, an inspector from the Municipal Inspection Directorate (DIM), each unit had “40 grams or less, on average.”

“The corresponding weighings were carried out and the 13 weighed were underweight, less than 200 grams, only three that weighed 200, when they should weigh 400 grams, that is a violation of regulations,” he commented.

The inspection detected a surplus of flour of 25 kilograms, supposedly left over from the day’s production, thanks to the low-weight loaves. Cash was also found that did not correspond to the sales.

In January, the Inspection Directorate of Pinar del Río applied fines and sanctions at the La Malta bakery in that city, after detecting breads with fewer grams than stipulated.

“Low-weight bread of 400 grams is detected, of five samples only 300 or 200 grams less. Corresponding measures and fines are applied,” said that institution on its Facebook profile, with photos of the aforementioned low-weight breads.

The post sparked discomfort among users, who assured that this situation extends throughout the country.

“But that’s how they are in all bakeries and in all places. A lot of theft and impudence towards the people,” said an Internet user.
