The Freudenhaus in Lustenau trumped its guests on Friday evening with a burlesque show.
Lustenau”Welcome to the Hotel Burlesque” was the motto on Friday evening in the Freudenhaus in Lustenau. Freiburg’s drag queen Dita Whip made a guest appearance in the theater tent with the well-known burlesque actress Elena La Gatta and the show group Provocation Dance and delighted the audience with her performance. The extravagant show, peppered with a lot of eroticism and humor, was particularly well received by the viewers. All tickets were completely sold out.
“With today’s show we want to find out whether this form of theater is even received by our guests,” said Roman Zöhrer in advance. “It’s sort of a test run.” And what better place for a burlesque performance than a brothel, he added. In the play, Dita Whip, as the charming and at the same time unfriendly receptionist of the fictional Hotel Burlesque, gives an insight into everyday hotel life with all its risqué stories. The actresses skilfully use dance, singing, comedy and striptease. Above all, the surprising interactions with the audience made the evening an unforgettable experience for many.
Tasteful and aesthetic
“I like the performance very much. It is extremely tasty and not at all offensive,” said visitor Gabi König. Her table neighbor Christine Zünd is also enthusiastic about the evening in the Freudenhaus. “The show is sophisticated and extremely aesthetic. The atmosphere here in the Freudenhaus is also unique. Luckily, I found out about the burlesque show by accident,” said Zünd. This was also a new experience for the two Freudenhaus managers, Roman Zöhrer and Lisa-Marie Berkmann. “I think such a performance fits perfectly into our repertoire. We are slowly approaching. This was certainly a completely new experience for many,” said Zöhrer. The thunderous applause at the end of the performance and the good mood of the audience confirmed the impression the organizers had gained. vs
