Let us make the economic decisions to put an end to speculation and inflation and to the business of large corporations that loot and pollute. Only the left, with the workers, can carry out this program. And facing this year marked by elections and the crisis, efforts must be made to have a single list, where all forces have representation, visibility. The ideal would be not to end in a few STEP, the ideal would be to apply a worker method, a great assembly: summon all our militancy, the activism that votes for the FITU, compañeras and compañeros from human rights organizations, activists who in each factory resist the bureaucracy, those who organize to confront poverty in the social movements and piqueteros, the women and the dissidents who confront the anti-rights, the youth who lead the socio-environmental struggles, with whom we share each struggle shoulder to shoulder, and among everyone to decide: Which are the best candidacies, the best places, how do we integrate everyone, so that everyone feels part of it, and thus have a unified campaign to respond to everything that our people are suffering. There is no need to be afraid of real democracy. If unfortunately it is not achieved, there are the STEP, nor should we dramatize or make a novel out of this.
for his part Alejandro Bodart, national leader of the MST in the FIT-U and coordinator of the International Socialist League was another of the main speakers and in the face of the world capitalist crisis that is going on, he said in his speech: “We are the only ones who have fundamental proposals such as nationalizing the banking and foreign trade, two key measures to decide what resources we have and what is produced. On this basis, the FIT-U is a great conquest, although it cannot overcome its narrow electoral margin, when in the next period we will have true rebellions of our class that will need more substantive responses and not only electoral ones. And internationally we have a similar challenge; The different groupings that have been built, in most cases do not intend to overcome sectarianism, dogmatism and open up to connect with others, to leave behind the quarrels of the past. Faced with the inter-imperialist dispute between a decadent imperialism and others that dispute hegemony and present themselves as an alternative, we must maintain our independence. We must denounce and mobilize against NATO and its arms race at the same time that we do so against Russian expansionism and China’s desire for imperialism. And carry out campaigns in support of just struggles, such as the one we carried out for the political prisoners in Nicaragua and which played a fundamental role so that the dictatorship had to release a large part of the prisoners. To promote all this, we should make a joint appeal to all the currents that claim to be fighters for socialism to a great International Conference and start discussing a common action plan before the barbarism is irreversible”.
