In what was show number 13,981 at Teatro Majestic, in New York, United States, there was an opportunity, at the end of the play, for an interpretation of ‘The Music of the Night’ (‘A Música da Noite’), which became popular with this musical – and which, this time, was performed by the current cast, by actors who participated in previous editions of the play and by other members of the team.

Andrew Lloyd Webber, the composer, also took the stage, dedicating what was the last performance of ‘The Phantom of the Opera’ to his son, Nick, who died last month, following a long battle with gastric cancer and pneumonia. . He was 43 years old.
