A traffic accident with one injured person occurred on Saturday night around 2 a.m. near a discotheque in Röthis.

An 18-year-old car driver drove on Saturday night around 2 a.m. on the L190 federal road coming from the “VABRIK” discotheque in the direction of Klaus. At the same time, an obviously very drunk 23-year-old tried to stop passing cars from the middle of the lane. The 18-year-old, who had noticed the drunk in good time, then tried to avoid him. At that very moment, however, the 23-year-old staggered across the road and was hit by the car.

Pedestrian was thrown over the hood against the windscreen

The impact threw the pedestrian onto the hood of the vehicle and hit his head on the windscreen. He then came to rest on the left-hand footpath and cycle path of the L190. The 23-year-old fractured his lower right leg as a result of the accident. The vehicle involved in the accident suffered considerable material damage in the area of ​​the front of the vehicle and the windshield. An alcohol test carried out on the driver of the car was negative.
