At least 14 people were killed and 64 others injured, said the governor of the Dnipropetrovsk region, Valentyn Resnichenko, in the online service Telegram. The attack in Dnipro hit a nine-story high-rise building. According to the governor, a 15-year-old girl was among the dead. seven children were injured, the smallest was only three years old. The attack in Dnipro destroyed dozens of apartments. According to the Ukrainian Presidency, 100 to 200 people were left homeless as a result of the shelling of the apartment building. Around 1,700 people in the city are also cut off from electricity and heat supplies. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy wrote in the online networks after the attack: “It is still unclear how many people are under the rubble. Unfortunately, the death toll is increasing every hour.”

“The Prime Minister outlined Britain’s intention to step up our support to Ukraine, including the deployment of Challenger 2 tanks and additional artillery systems”, a Downing Street spokesman was quoted as saying. Sunak and Zelenskyi welcomed other similar announcements, including Poland’s offer to provide Leopard tanks for one company – that would typically be 14.
Zelenskyj thanked Sunak via Twitter for his support and emphasized that the decision will “send the right signal to other partners”.
