The finale of “Die Bergretter” let fans breathe a sigh of relief: Sebastian Ströbel stays. However, Maxi Warwel is not. She will be replaced in the upcoming season.
The 14th season of “Die Bergretter” doesn’t end with a drama. “I hate to say it. But you were right. I thought if I ran away, I could escape from everything,” summarized Markus Kofler, head of the mountain rescue service. He realized at the last moment that his team is his family and that’s why he won’t be traveling to Nepal with Nina. In concrete terms, this means that the main actor Sebastian Ströbel will remain in the series.
Things are different with Maxi Warwel. The 40-year-old plays police officer Jessika Pollath in the series, but was only called Jessi. She fell into a deep ravine in a tragic accident early in the season and was never found alive or dead. It was the end of her character. Warwel played this role for six years. Now it’s time to move on, she said on Instagram. “I’m full of gratitude, but I’m also very sad.”
Ferdinand Seebacher, who played Jessi’s friend Simon in “Die Bergretter”, also left the series. The TV couple was affectionately nicknamed Jessimo by fans. As early as 2021, both Seebacher and Warwel had decided to end their series. Both actors want to break new ground.
33-year-old Viktoria Ngotsé becomes the new police officer
Mimin Viktoria Ngotsé also hits it. She is supposed to be the newcomer to “Die Bergretter”. This is now reported by “bunte.de” and “gala.de” in unison. The 33-year-old should therefore play the new chief inspector Alexandra Winkler.
Ngotsé is no stranger. She has already played in “Gute Zeiten, Schlechte Zeiten”, “Balko”, “Der Beileeper” and “Everything that counts”. She has also gained experience on the big screen. In the film “The Wedding” she was seen alongside Til Schweiger.
Filming for the 15th season of “Die Bergretter” is already underway, but the whole thing will not be broadcast until autumn 2023 at the earliest.
