It has now been four days since the ski resort Säfsen, in Ludvika municipality, burned with open flames. The building could not be saved and large values ​​were lost. However, no one was injured in the fire.

According to police technicians who were on the scene on Thursday, the fire-ravaged area is still glowing.

Investigated as arson

After the incident on Monday, SVT Nyheter Dalarna reported that the police initiated a preliminary investigation into aggravated arson and that they held interrogations. The police are not commenting on how the investigation is going at the moment.

“No person has been notified of suspicion of crime,” the police write in a press release, however.

Police are appealing for tips

The police are also seeking tips from the public. If anyone has information or has made observations that may be of importance to the preliminary investigation regarding aggravated arson, they should contact the police, they say in the press release.
