After the threat of bankruptcy, Sala Silvergruva will lay off marketing staff and lower ticket prices, according to Sala Allehanda. Sala Silvergruva’s CEO Jennie Hesslöw tells the newspaper that the prices of certain types of tickets will be halved this summer.

At the same time, the municipality of Sala has appointed a steering group and working group that works actively with the issue of Sala Silvergruva’s future. As part of the work, Sala municipality is proposed to buy the remaining B shares in Sala Silvergruva AB for SEK 288,000. Sala municipality can then gain greater control over the company and be able to implement changes more easily. Decisions on the purchase of B shares are taken at the Municipal Council’s meeting on April 24.

– This is a very active ongoing work where we as owners take on a different role than before, says Amanda Lindblad, chairman of the municipal board.
