Noah Mbamba is leaving FC Brugge this winter and will move to Bayer Leverkusen in this transfer window. This reports the Belgian ‘La Dernière Heure/Les Sports’. Accordingly, Bruges received a manageable transfer fee for the 18-year-old six six months before the end of the contract. A contract with the Werkself has also been negotiated.

Originally, Leverkusen had the free transfer in mind in the summer. However, Bayer had competition from the Premier League for the current January, so that it recently became apparent that the Bundesliga club would ultimately prefer the transfer. In Bruges, the Mbamba was only used sporadically after it became clear that the homegrown team would not be renewing its expiring contract.
